BRANDING- PRESENTING
Within this workshop we had to work as a team to create a presentation that we would present to a client. The presentation needed to explain our idea for a brand of shirts and to create a concept store where all the products would be available for the customers to purchase from. We also wanted to display what promotional materials would look like, so the client could really imagine what the design of the brand would be. Additionally supporting this I created some designs of the shirts to clearly show the style we are going for. We presented our idea with all of our team explaining our thought process behind it, reminiscing about Morrissey when he was in Smiths and less controversial, and how we are going to portray his most important characteristics, personality traits and his likes and interests. Therefore we displayed this exact presentation.
Reflection
The aspects I feel went well was that we got all are ideas across in the presentation, which represented and explained the brand we created.
Additionally due to us only having a day to complete it, we very efficiently shared all the tasks out within the group to make sure all work got completed on time and to a high standard.
Also I feel including a promotional video at the end was good, as it allowed the client to understand a bit more about the brand and the style we are going for.
However whilst looking back we could have been more professional at presenting by actually having prompt cards, instead of just trying to remember what to say, as by having cards it would mean we would definitely not miss anything out. Therefore in the future cue cards will be used.Additionally improvements we could make to the actual presentation is explain more about Morrissey himself, and link the concept to these more clearly.
Therefore I learnt how to present an idea professionally, and how its important to dominate the presentation with visuals instead of it being text heavy.
Development
When developing this presentation I took all the improvements the client gave us and applied them, additionally I added little details to make it look better, as we only had a day to produce all the content for the presentation and to actually create it.
